We are typically open Saturdays and Sundays only, 12-5pm.

We are not hard to get to, we just aren’t surrounded by throngs of other vineyards and highly populated areas, which to tell the truth is part of its magic. We have stunning panoramic views, sheep grazing on the mountainside, the finest of wines, a friendly staff and a peacefulness that is hard to find. Come sip and stay a while!

Because of our fairly remote location, we are not open as often as most tasting rooms. FOOD:

We offer a cheese and salami board with warm bread, fruit and cookies. You are invited to bring your own picnic lunch.

PETS:

We are dog friendly as long as they stay on a leash.

SIP & STAY

We have numerous B&Bs in the area if you are wanting to overnight.

If you are interested in staying in Charlottesville when you visit, we have our own Entire House AirBnb in Charlottesville, an 1892, 4000 sq ft Victorian, “The Cottage on Ridge.” It is located in the center of all the happenings and will sleep up to 16 people. Hire a tour company to drive you down to Ankida, then head out for lunch, visit another winery and be dropped off at the Cottage where you are a two minute walk to the Hoppin’ Downtown Mall, an historic tree-lined, pedestrian mall, filled with the best restaurants, shops, theater, street music and more.

B&Bs closer to Ankida are listed below in order of proximity:

The Cabin at Ankida  We have just recently opened up our cabin on the “lower forty” for Airbnb rental. It is a perfect rustic getaway for 4-6 friends, and you all receive a complimentary tasting in the winery tasting room as guests of The Cabin! Sit on the porch and listen to the frogs croaking and the crickets and tree frogs serenading. Lie out on the lawn under the stars and marvel at the Milky Way above, brilliant in our light-pollution free environment.  And bring your fishing poles and hiking boots!
